Well, it's probably apparent to everyone that I'm a terrible blogger. Better late than never, right? On February 18, I had the pleasure of reading at Les Brasseurs du Petit-Sault in Edmundston. It was my biggest crowd yet! The beer was amazing, and the vibe was cozy -- perfect for a reading. On March 18, I was invited to present my book as part of the Journées des études supérieures et de la recherche (JESR) at the University of Moncton Edmundston campus. Finally, the university held a launch event for the first issue of Vroom Lit Magazine on March 22. Vroom Lit Magazine is a small literary publication featuring creative writing from our English students as well as a number of pieces from external contributors. Here I am with a few of my creative writing students (left to right): Amélie Bernard (contributor), Alyssia Charest (student editor), myself (founding editor), and Zoé Rioux (student editor). Not pictured is my colleague Janet Kennedy (co-editor) and our newest student editor, Valérie Levesque. Vroom Lit Magazine is now open for submissions!

On February 11, I had the pleasure of reading from Sardines at the Word Feast Literary Festival in Fredericton, NB. My reading was held at Westminster Bookmark. I got to meet Thom Vernon, who also read from his new book I Met Death & Sex Through My Friend, Tom Meuley.
I'd like to thank Word Feast and Westminster Bookmark for hosting me and for allowing me to show up early so that I could get acquainted with the space. My author friend, Mike Russell, suggested that I explore this website and apply for a profile. Shepherd stands out as being a unique and carefully crafted platform to not only showcase your own work, but also to connect with readers. What sets Shepherd apart from other websites is that the focus isn't solely on your book. You're required to recommend five books centered on a specific subject, mood, or theme. You're also required to provide a brief explanation as to why you've chosen each book.
Here are my five picks! For an explanation of why I've chosen each book and for more information about my book, you can visit my Shepherd page at: Angel's List Big thank you to First Mile Brewery Co. in Fort Kent, Maine for hosting my first reading. The beer was delicious, and I loved just how intimate and cozy the event felt.
